Kerlora Third Community Walk — Minster Beach
On Saturday 12th September, we headed to Minster Beach on the Isle of Sheppey for our Third Kerlora Community Walk and our biggest one yet!
With more than 45 people joining us, it was amazing to see the Kerlora community continuing to grow. What began as an idea to simply get people together, get outside and enjoy moving has quickly become something we look forward to sharing with more and more people.
We took on a gentle 5K walk along the beach, with no pressure to rush or keep pace. There was a brilliant atmosphere from the moment everyone arrived. New faces, familiar faces, plenty of conversations, lots of laughter and a beautiful morning spent moving together.
It wasn't about how quickly we completed the 5K or who could walk the furthest. It was about taking some time out, getting some fresh air, enjoying the surroundings and connecting with the people around us.
And, of course, no Kerlora Community Walk would be complete without a little treat at the end! We finished the morning with the most amazing cupcakes, topped with buttercream and fresh fruit. They were the perfect way to round off the walk and gave everyone another excuse to stay, chat and enjoy the morning together.
For us, that's what the Kerlora Community is all about. Creating opportunities to connect, move and feel good, without the pressure to be perfect. Whether you come along knowing everyone or don't know a single person when you arrive, you're part of the community.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make our third walk our biggest one yet. We can't wait to see even more familiar and new faces at the next one.
Find strength in movement, not perfection
